Privacy Policy

DoAPI is a free IP geolocation service. This page explains exactly what we process and what we keep.

IP lookups

A lookup takes the IP address you submit, resolves it against a local GeoIP2 City database and returns the result. We do not keep a log of looked-up addresses. Responses for a specific address may be cached by our server and CDN for up to 24 hours so repeated queries are fast.

Server logs

Like every web server, ours writes standard access logs: your IP address, the request path, the user agent and a timestamp. They are used only to keep the service running and to diagnose abuse, and are rotated on a regular schedule.

Plugin version checks

WordPress plugins we publish (such as DoLogin Security) may call this service to check for a newer version. That request records the site domain, the WordPress version, the plugin version and the requesting IP so we can keep a compatibility overview. Nothing about the site's users is sent.

Cookies

The site sets one cookie, _sid, containing a random identifier. It carries no personal data and is not used for tracking or advertising.

Third parties

Traffic is proxied through Cloudflare, which processes connection data under its own privacy policy. The page loads a stylesheet from the cdnjs CDN. No analytics or advertising scripts are embedded.
